I plan to do this with my 2 year old. I'll be making it age appropriate and having her select from choices but it will be fun! I can already guess we'll be having chocolate chip protein pancakes for breakfast : )

Yes!! My 2-year-old could totally tell that it was Yes Day and it was SO adorable. He toddled around with a special little air of "I get to call the shots today!" 😅 Let me know how it goes for you guys! Choices is a great idea.

I really love this. I say yes to my kids as often as possible -- I have since they could first ask a yes/no question -- but this is next-level. What a fantastic idea.

We had a yes morning some months ago: https://tania.substack.com/p/017. My planning and prior-boundary-setting game isn't as strong as yours though!!

We are having cousin camp this week. I think a Yes day would be so much fun with all of them!

E is planning her Yes Day. So far, she wants ice cream with her waffles, for nobody to do any cleaning (she looked hard at me) 😅 and to stay up late enough to see the moon and some stars. I told my husband I would do a Yes Day each month on the date of her birthday and he said we’d go broke😂 But I showed him her list and how simple her requests are. I love seeing where her heart is. 🥰

Thanks for the inspiration for Yes day and childlikeness. We were outside yesterday and my daughter wanted us to run through the sprinklers and play. I’ve done it before with her, but I didn’t really want to get soaked yesterday. But I did and we had so much fun! She loved it and I had fun too. I said Yes because of this post!
